Livingston Parish Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC)
 

LPPS Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) provides advice and feedback regarding special education policies, procedures, and resources. The SEAC also engages in outreach activities to the Livingston Parish community at large to increase the level of knowledge, support, and collaboration with respect to special education.
LPPS Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) shall meet at least three times a year and shall submit a written report of its activities to the LPPS Superintendent and the LDOE Special Education Advisory Panel in May of each year. The Superintendent will ensure that the written report is posted on the district’s website.

SEAC Membership

LPPS Special Education Advisory Council consists of 8 members, of which fifty percent of the membership are parents or legal guardians of students with disabilities, twenty-five percent are teachers, principals, and related service providers, and twenty-five percent are other special education stakeholders.

The LPPS Special Education Advisory Council is not seeking membership for any positions at this time.  If you are interested in participating, please complete the Livingston Parish Public Schools Application for SEAC membership. (Attach link to application) The deadline to submit the application is April 1, 2024.
